RAID redundancy: Multi-drives means added protection.
- Data journaling: Even after an accidental power-off, power-up is just a few seconds longer than the normal time.
- Hot spares: if a disk were to die, data from that disk is rebuilt automatically onto the hot spare.
- Snapshots: schedule a snapshot of a volume at a specified interval.
- Life support mode: if a second drive is accidentally removed, just shutdown, re-add the drive and power it back up; your RAID volume will resume where it left off.
- Scheduled replication: push data from the NAS onto another NAS or remote site.
- Shutdown on disk failure automatically shutdown if a disk failure is detected or if the system detects an over-temperature condition.
- Email alerts: automatic messages letting you know about all major events such as impending quota violations, share changes and hardware problems.

Access Control
